ADVANCED SEARCH

General Information:

  • The Advanced Search Form allows you to search on multiple fields and apply search filters. Searching on more than one field narrows your results to the exact book(s) you are looking for.

  • The search engine is case-insensitive. You can enter your search in all capitals, all lowercase, or mixed case.

  • The more specific the information you enter, the more exact your search results may be. Quotation marks, plus signs, Boolean operators (and, or, not) or words like 'a', 'an', 'the' will be ignored by the search engine.

     
  IN-CODE :
A code number is given by us to each book for easy identification. If you know this code, you can search for a particular title by entering the IN-Code number.
  ISBN :
All the books have an ISBN (International Standard Book Number). It is of ten characters and is usually printed on the back cover or inside flap of the jacket cover or on the imprint page.
  TITLE :
Enter all or part of the title you are looking for. You can leave out words such as "a", "an," or "the." The search engine will try to find books that have all the words you entered in the title.
  AUTHOR :
Enter all or part of the author name you are looking for. You do not need to enter the first name or the abbreviated initials. But if there are a lot of books by authors with the same last name you may enter the first name as well. You can enter a name as: Kumar or Ashok Kumar or A. Kumar.
  YEAR :  
Narrows your search to only books for a specific year or year range.
  SUBJECT :
Narrows your search to only books in a specific subject.
 PUBLISHER :
Narrows your search to only books by a specific publisher. You can enter all or part of the publisher's name. For example, Indus Publishing Company or Indus.
