International was established in 1998 as an export division of its
sister concern Indus Publishing Company which was established in 1987 and is
one of the reputed publishers of scholarly books in India. The idea was to
promote and export Indus' books. But within the first few months the
response received was encouraging and Indus International started exporting
books published by other Indian publishers as well. It expanded its
activities on the World Wide Web with the launch of its website in January
1999. Today, Indus International has made its name in the trade, especially
in providing an excellent service to its customers. Indus International is
the official supplier of books from India to many trade giants all over the
world, particularly in the US and the UK.
